Ok so I can't even put into words how amazing the gumbo is here. The rue was perfect. I almost cried it was so good. People should come from all around the country. Make the trip. The staff is incredible and all the customers were having a great time! I will be back countless times. Thank you @Michelle_merchantservices

Wow. Friends..hands down DELICIOUS. YOU GOTTA TRY THIS PLACE JUST 1 TIMWWe visited .for my daughter's birthday. She turned down some pretty great spots to go here. But let me tell you..Stevie did not disappoint. Everything was out of this world delicious. We order cajun pasta , short ribs, chicken, and a shrimp dish. They all came with sides. All the sides wre amazing. The server was the cutest kindest server we have ever had the pleasure of dining with!! This place is a 10/10. Be warned...parking is pretty scarce. Orders are cooked when you order. So a little wait might be customary. But WORTH IT!!!

Service: Friendly staff and helpful giving information for 1st timer diners. Appreciate the recommendations and friendliness. Ambiance: minimal decor and I like that they have a chalkboard for their famous items and special offerings. Food: Blacken snapper was flavorful and substantial for its size. It came with the stir-fried cabbage tasted good and the red beans and rice were decent. The bed of rice for the snapper was unnecessary and kinda overpowered the plate. Softshell poboy: the seasoning of the fried shell crab was just salt nothing creolie. Although the extra sauce on the side more than made up for it. I am not sure if it was intended to be that way. Poboy was substantial and fries were great additional fillers. I do not have a picture but we also had a dessert peach beignets. More like peach triangle pies. It was good Overall, this place was a great find for some great food. The friendliness of the staff is definitely nice. Oh, I almost forgot that 16% is added to your bill already so you don't have to tip. This takes the guesswork. This is a touchy subject for some as it depends on the service provided. In my opinion, it's safe to say that 16% was fair. Given the service and the substantial amount of food that we got. I will be back at this restaurant. It was good food.

Be prepared to wait a little while for your food as it's made fresh to order. They do their best to get everyone's food out at the same time. If one or more dishes are delayed, they keep you updated and checkin on your table. The food has been good and plentiful my last few visits. Staff is friendly. The only things we did not enjoy this time was the peach butter paired with the blueberry muffin and fried chicken. Fried chicken was over cooked, lacked flavor and taste like it was fried in old oil.

I came here for some soul food as we celebrated Juneteenth. I almost missed it when I was driving because it's really small. There were a lot of people for takeout but when you walk inside it's small 6 tables for sitting. The two waitresses/cashiers were nice. They took my order. I heard their seafood gumbo was the best so I ordered the large gumbo, fried pickles, small greens, and catfish nuggets for me and my bf to share. I also had the Bayou Lemonade to drink. The drink came right away and it took about 20 minutes to get my food order with the gumbo coming out last. Everything was really good and I didn't realize the portions were so big even while splitting with my bf. Next time I will leave out the pickles because it was unnecessary but I was hungry and it was a perfect appetizer. The rue of the gumbo was really good and flavorful. That was a plus because I feel good gumbo is hard to find at soul food restaurants in LA these days. Whenever I need some soul food in LA, this will be my new go to spot for sure! Can't wait to come back and try the shrimp Mac-n-cheese :-)
